Just a few months before the first harvest at Terre del Marchesato, Maurizio Fuselli managed to finalise his winery. Accordingly, this winery in Bolgheri is one of the newer ones, but one that has been able to make a name for itself with its high-quality wine at a rapid pace.
The building itself is intended to exist as part of the vineyard so that it blends in architecturally with the landscape. It may be small, but it has everything needed to vinify and bottle 16 hectares of grapes. The grape varieties themselves include everything that is traditionally grown in Bolgheri: Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petit Verdot and Merlot along with Vermentino. Although the vines are not cultivated according to official organic guidelines, they are strongly orientated towards classic methods that have survived the ravages of time. Accordingly, they respect natural cycles, keep a watchful eye on weather reports and interfere as little as possible with natural growth. The Terre del Marchesato II Tarabusco Cabernet Sauvignon and the Terre del Marchesato Emilio Primo Bolgheri Rosso are just two examples of the entire portfolio.
